For many of us the summer holds the promise of adventure and the great outdoors, but nowadays many families find themselves glued to their screens, and can’t be bothered with the hassle of organising a holiday. Halfords wanted to showcase to its customers the virtues of the holiday at home. Our objective was to prove that the best staycation trips this summer start at Halfords. Live data was crucial from the outset, being used to time the campaign’s launch, promote Halfords product features by embedding them into topics that our in-house analytics predicted would soon trend, as well as tailor content to regional audiences based on their location. The campaign made a very strong impression on readers, and saw significant uplift in brand recognition, purchases and purchase consideration for Halfords.
