Charlie Cox has been a senior media executive in the UK and internationally for more than 30 years. His current role as CEO of Metro marks 25 years of involvement with the DMGT group, as an executive and consultant in sectors including print, digital publishing and broadcasting. Charlie came to the UK from his native Australia in 1990, to take the reins of the London radio stations of LBC. After a successful turn-around of the ailing businesses, he Joined DMGT in 1993 and founded DMG radio – the international broadcasting division of the Daily Mail group. Charlie has had a parallel TV career of 17 years with the BBC as a presenter and commentator and was a Times motorsport columnist until his full-time return to DMGT in 2014.
