Jonathan Davies leads the Eurosport and Discovery International Ad Sales & Client Partnership department, managing teams in multiple markets across the Globe.

He is responsible for maximising the commercial value of the Eurosport and Discovery portfolio across TV and digital platforms globally. Jonathan’s role is to build innovative sports and entertainment partnerships with advertisers, sponsors, sports federations, distributors and content producers. During the recent 2018 Olympic Winter Games he secured commercial deals with global brands including Bridgestone and Toyota for Discovery’s first Games as European broadcaster, giving these companies the opportunity to engage with millions of passionate sports fans across Eurosport’s platforms.

Before joining Discovery Communications, he spent 12 years at CNN, most recently as EVP CNN International where he was responsible for global ad sales, commercial programme production and marketing.

Prior to CNN, Jonathan enjoyed 13 successful years with some of the world’s leading advertising and media agencies including: Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was appointed to the Agency Board, Ogilvy & Mather and Mindshare, where he held the position of Managing Partner.

Jonathan brings over 25 years of experience within the media industry at the most senior level across both media owners and agencies
