If you think about where disruption is happening the most — it is in the world of media. As a judge for the British Media Awards I’m really looking forward to celebrating the power of media as a transformative force. Companies, teams and work that are creative, show innovative use of data and tech to help build a defence against disruption for brands and businesses and reflect the changing expectations of consumers in this exciting new media landscape.

A brand and corporate communications expert, advocate and leader, Stephen Martincic is Chief Brand Officer at Ascential since October 2016. Stephen has been instrumental in the evolution of the brands he has worked with, creating and implementing both the new Ascential corporate identity, and that of FCB in 2014, where he was EVP Global Branding and Corporate Affairs. A French native, Stephen speaks several languages and lived in Paris, Lisbon and New York before moving back to London.

In his role as Chief Brand Officer at Ascential, Stephen oversees branding, corporate communications and marketing globally across the company’s 19 brands, with a focus on building the Ascential brand and presence. Prior to this, Stephen supported FCB local offices in 90 countries with their execution of global branding and oversees internal and external communication programs that build awareness and enhance the company’s reputation.

Prior to Ascential and FCB, Stephen managed corporate communications, marketing and new business for the likes of Leo Burnett/Starcom, OMD and several Havas agencies in Paris.
